Relax. Release. Rejuvenate.
Matthew 11: 28-30(NIV)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Rest. What does that look like to you? Better yet, do you even know what rest looks like? A nice spa day? Or sand between your toes, listening to beach waves hit the shore? Or listening to the rustling of leaves from balcony of a hidden cabin in the middle of the Smokey Mountains? Yes, this is the life, huh? All of these sound extremely relaxing and restful! But what if I told you that even if those options weren't available, you could still rest? The Lord tells us to come to Him for rest. As a matter of fact, God commands us to do so. Why? Because He rested too. So take the time to rest in between the millions of things to do on your to do list. God doesn't want you yo be weary or burdened. He wants us to give it to Him. And at some point we must learn to give it all to Him. Don't know where to start? Well, I have a few things that could help get you started. Just a little a day will keep the weary away. In between the time of planning your next spa day and beach trip, try creating your own space of rest and peace. I promise you the Lord will meet you there and give you peace like no other. Now, get ready to relax, release, and rejuvenate. Please come here as often as you like. Below are some resources to help you get started on your journey for a deeper and closer connection with God.
Breath Prayers

Breath prayers are a beautiful practice that integrates faith into the very rhythm of our lives, allowing us to experience God's presence in every breath we take. In moments of stress and anxiety, these simple yet profound prayers can serve as a powerful tool for relaxation and peace. By focusing on our breath while reciting heartfelt phrases or scriptures, we not only calm our bodies but also help alleviate the physical symptoms of anxiety.

This practice enhances mindfulness by anchoring us in the present moment, drawing our attention away from distractions and centering our thoughts on Christ and His unwavering love for us. As we breathe in deeply, we invite His presence into our hearts; as we exhale, we release worries and fears. Each breath becomes an opportunity for spiritual growth—a chance to connect more deeply with scripture and reflect on its meaning in our lives.

Incorporating breath prayers into your daily routine can transform your spiritual journey. Whether you’re seeking solace during a hectic day or desiring a deeper connection with God, these prayers remind us that He is always with us, guiding us through every challenge. Let each breath be a testament to your faith—an invitation to embrace the divine love surrounding you.
